TYSONS, Va.—Alarm.com has announced that its Smart Thermostat HD is now also available in a white finish.

According to the company, the Smart Thermostat HD offers homeowners a sleek, color touchscreen display and full integration with the Alarm.com platform to optimize energy savings and convenience. Now with the thermostat available in black and white dealers have more flexibility to blend the thermostat into more home environments..

Alarm.com boasts the product is the first near-universal 24-volt smart thermostat that can seamlessly control air quality products and accessories such as humidifiers, dehumidifiers, ERVs, HRVs, and more.  The company states that dealers will find the unit comes with easy installation options and a rich feature set that includes the ability to automatically adjust the temperature when a door or window has been left open to not let energy go to waste.

The company notes the Smart Thermostat HD allows homeowners to set to a scene via the Alarm.com mobile app, which facilitates the adjustment of the temperature, lights, locks, or other connected devices, all with a single tap.

Some of the other features the thermostat offers include compatibility with the Z-Wave and S2 platforms to provide dealers with the ability to integrate the thermostat into modern smart home systems that include control and home automation. Alarm.com emphasizes the thermostat requires 24-volt HVAC systems compatibility for native integration, but 120-volt and 240-volt HVAC systems can be adapted to provide a 24-volt setup for the thermostat.

In addition, once the Smart Thermostat HD is powered up, configuration is simple when using the Smart Thermostat HD’s on-screen setup wizard and automatic wire detection and configuration. The setup also includes a flexible two-part design that provides a labor-saving solution when there is no common-wire (C-wire), or not enough wires available.
