Huffmaster Teams Up With AI Titan RAD For Enhanced Security Solutions

CLAWSON, Mich. – Huffmaster Management, which provides strike services, industrial staffing, travel, healthcare staffing, security services and more to Fortune 500 and mid-size companies, recently announced a strategic partnership with Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD), a wholly owned subsidiary of Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (AITX).

The partnership “will combine RAD’s groundbreaking artificial intelligence-driven technologies to strengthen Huffmaster’s hybrid security offerings of trained security personnel and virtual surveillance devices,” according to the company announcement.

RAD is a global leader specializing in AI-based analytics as well as stationary and mobile robotic solutions that deliver considerable cost savings. All RAD technologies are developed in-house and primarily serve security solutions across various industries and vertical markets.

Through this partnership, Huffmaster will resell RAD’s full suite of products, including:

  • ROAMEO – Rugged Observation Assistance Mobile Electronic Officer
  • AVA – Autonomous Verified Access
  • ROSA – Responsive Observation Security Agent
  • RIO – ROSA Independent Observatory
  • RADDOG 2LE – Purpose-Built Robot Dog For Law Enforcement

These products “will enhance Huffmaster’s hybrid security model, which ingeniously combines human acumen with technological prowess,” according to the announcement.

Why Huffmaster Partnered with RAD

Initially conceptualized in response to the terrorist attacks on America on Sept. 11, 2001, the hybrid security model has “since saved organizations significant capital,” the announcement says. The incorporation of RAD’s robotic security solutions “will further fortify and bolster the capabilities of Huffmaster’s hybrid security model,” according to the announcement.

“In the current economic landscape, reshaped by the 2020 pandemic, companies have been grappling with the need to reduce on-site headcount ad work remotely, leaving properties and campuses susceptible to illicit activity,” said Ryan Okerstrom, Vice President of Operations, Protective Service Group, Huffmaster, in the announcement.

“RAD’s solutions perfectly align with Huffmaster’s vision of providing cost-effective security solutions that enhance human surveillance with uncompromising virtual security support,” he said.

“The combined strength of Huffmaster’s trained security personnel and RAD’s robotic solutions is a synergy unparalleled in the industry,” said Mark Folmer, CPP, PSP, FSyI, President of RAD, in the announcement.

“With RAD’s innovative solutions, organizations can achieve much more with less, leveraging the power of automation and artificial intelligence to help drive operational efficiency and maximize productivity,” he said.

Huffmaster also recently announced the internal promotion of Andrew Miller to Director of Technology Solutions within the company’s Protective Services Group.

Miller brings 14 years of specialized experience in physical security and system integration. Before joining Huffmaster’s security division five years ago, he was a service and project coordinator at Gemellaro Systems Integration, where he managed the dispatch of technicians.

As the lead integration tech at Erlich Protection Systems, Inc., Miller proved his skills in designing and programming multiple security systems, including the deployment of a remotely hosted access control solution across the U.S.
